Dr. Thomas Hövetborn — Founder and Owner

Dr. Thomas Hövetborn studied chemistry at RWTH Aachen. Since completing his doctorate at the Institute for Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry in 2001, he has been working in the medical device market. He is an expert in quality management and regulatory affairs.

From 2001 to 2005 he worked at ADIAM life science AG in Erkelenz. He was responsible for the development and approval of polymer materials for the manufacture of biomechanical heart valve and vascular prostheses - medical devices of class III.

In 2005 he moved to egomedical AG in Munich. Here he worked as a Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager until 2010. Under his leadership, the QM system was certified in accordance with ISO 13485 and 9001 and blood glucose monitoring systems were CE marked in accordance with IVDD.

The following 10 years he continued his professional career at THUASNE Deutschland GmbH in Burgwedel. Initially, he headed the areas of quality management and regulatory affairs and held the roles of quality and safety officer. Later, in 2012, he assumed overall responsibility for the operational business and was appointed managing director in 2019.

In March 2020 he founded th - Medical Device Services and since than he is working as an independent consultant and freelance auditor in the medical device market.
